CineForm RAW™:
CineForm RAW
is a set of
extensions to CineForm Intermediate to encodes
raw sensor data for digital cinema cameras that use large-format Bayer
sensors. Processing the sensor data in its
raw form, prior to conversion to YUV or RGB
color spaces, offers many creative benefits to
the post-production workflow, including higher
dynamic range and more flexible color palette,
which results in a more cinematic look for
theatrical productions. CineForm RAW extensions
are included both in our Visually Perfect™
wavelet codec and our real-time video processing
engine. Read more.
Quality Analysis: We have
performed separate in-depth quality analyses on the visual
characteristics of both of our CineForm Intermediate 10-bit and
8-bit codecs. In the 10-bit analysis we
have compared against editing with DVCPRO HD.
In the 8-bit analysis we have compared against
editing with "native" MPEG2. Our analysis
techniques include both both subjective
observation and objective numerical analysis.

White Papers: CineForm has written three white papers
that describe in more depth the specific technologies and processes
we used
in developing CineForm Intermediate. They get "under the
hood" on how CineForm technology achieves its unprecedented
performance.
