WEISSCAM announces cooperation with CineForm and
Wafian

is announcing that for its new RAW digital recorder device, it
has begun cooperation with Wafian Corp and CineForm®
,Inc., to create a mountable and stand alone recorder for
uncompressed and compressed WEISSCAM RAW files over single- and
dual-link HD-SDI with a resolution up to 2048 horizontal pixels
(2K).
Wafian, as a leading hardware manufacturer in the industry,
intends to develop the OEM hardware design using the award
winning CineForm Intermediate™ and CineForm RAW™ codec for
superior image quality.
The recorder will offer a fast download of WEISSCAM RAW data
over HD-SDI single- and dual-link and the possibility to export
the data as CineForm RAW files to a laptop over USB 2.0 and e-sata.
The recorded CineForm RAW files will be immediately available
for editing in numerous post-production applications from Adobe,
Apple, Autodesk, Sony, and others.
