CARLSBAD, CA, April 19, 2004 – CineForm, Inc. today announced its most significant upgrade to Aspect HD™ since its launch last year.  The new version 2.2 includes real-time support for all HDV™ resolutions and frame rates including 480p60, 576p50, 720p30, 720p60, and 1080i60.  Aspect HD Version 2.2 also includes performance improvements to HDLink™, CineForm’s capture and export utility for HDV camcorders and decks, now providing faster encoding which reduces capture time for HDV content.

With Aspect HD Version 2.2, CineForm is delivering increased value to its customers by bundling the Adobe^® editing software suite that includes Premiere^® Pro, Encore^®, and Audition^®, for the same price as the original Aspect HD.

CineForm will begin offering a downloadable 15-day trial of Version 2.2 from its web site beginning May 1, 2004.

How Aspect HD Works
Aspect HD’s remarkable performance is achieved through its patent-pending algorithms which access and process high-resolution video data in an extraordinarily efficient manner.  HDV video is ingested in real time and converted into CineForm’s highly-efficient Visually Perfect™ format prior to writing the stream to disk.  Its video pipeline always works with full-resolution source material and never creates intermediate proxy files.   The resulting AVI file format ensures file compatibility across a broad range of Windows-based applications including Adobe After Effects and Windows Media Player.

Using a 2.8GHz Pentium 4 PC and a simple RAID 0 configuration, up to four HD streams from JVC’s revolutionary JY-HD10U HDV camcorder can be processed simultaneously in real time, plus transitions, effects, and motion, all without the need for specialized hardware.  After editing, HD video is easily exported to a wide variety of HD, SD and web distribution formats.

Aspect HD for Adobe Premiere Pro version 2.2 is immediately available directly from CineForm and from select Video Specialty Resellers for a list price of $1,199, including a full version of Adobe Premiere Pro, Encore, and Audition.  Existing registered users of Aspect HD for Adobe Premiere 6.5 and Aspect HD for Adobe Premiere Pro can upgrade to Aspect HD versions 2.2 free of charge (excluding the Adobe bundle).
