David Taylor, Chief Executive Officer
David Taylor has been in the high technology business for 20
years, 18 of those in Silicon Valley. He is a veteran of five

multiple successes developing young companies from concept to
success through profitable revenue generation. Recently, David
was the founding CEO of Dazzle Multimedia, currently a $70M
consumer-focused digital video company that was acquired in 2000
for $100M. As an early employee at C-Cube Microsystems, he built
the Company's broadcast business from $0 to $75M in three years,

David Newman, Chief Technology Officer
David's desire to make film
and video production fast and flexible - at the highest quality
- is driven by his personal interest in film - whether as a
consumer of independent film (favorites : Pi and Bad Boy Bubby)
or as a filmmaker himself (nothing at the multiplex yet.) While
waiting for that perfect film project, David has spent 14 years
in engineering design and management, developing both hardware
and software solutions in the field of digital video. David
evolved his career from working as an independent contractor in
Perth, Australia to a founder of Applied Magic in San Diego.
Through his seven years at Applied Magic, David grew from
Principal Engineer to CTO, while he headed the development of
four different professional and prosumer audio/video products.
David holds the US patent on the underlying technology that
powers Applied Magic's ScreenPlay turn-key editing products, and
has filed eight more on related video editing technologies.
David continues to use all the tools he designed for his own
side film projects -- which helps keep the fun in his
engineering activities. David has a bachelor's degree in
Electronic Engineering from Curtin University in Perth
Australia. |
